PPhuket Sport Price Index 2026/27: What a Training Trip Costs

High season in Phuket runs from November to April, and this is when most people come to the island to train: a Muay Thai camp, a yoga retreat, a dive course or a month of classes. We have put the current prices into one index, using the venues' own price lists and the FitPhuket database: 541 sports venues, 73 camp and retreat programs and the weekly class schedule. Prices are as of October 2026; "from" means the lowest price we found.

Key numbers:

  • Muay Thai at two well-known gyms with public price lists: 3,000–4,400 THB for a week, 8,000–13,500 THB for a month and 600 THB for a single group class;
  • a week at a Muay Thai camp with accommodation starts from 6,300 THB, and an all-inclusive week with training, a room and meals from 14,500 THB;
  • a group reformer Pilates class costs 550–1,080 THB;
  • a try dive costs 4,500–6,000 THB, the Open Water course 14,000–17,500 THB;
  • Phuket gyms and studios run 1,729 group classes a week at 70 venues, 44% of them Muay Thai and MMA.

Muay Thai: classes, weeks and months

Muay Thai is the island's main sport: almost every area has its own gyms, and many camps train twice a day. Prices at two well-known gyms that publish their price lists, in baht:

What Sinbi, Rawai Tiger, Chalong
Group class 600 —
Week 3,000–4,000 4,400
Month 8,000–12,000 13,500
Three months 27,000 34,500
Private session — 800

At Sinbi Muay Thai the lower price is for one class a day and the higher one for two; two classes in one day cost 900 THB, and a 10-class pass 5,000 THB. At Tiger Muay Thai the table shows the Muay Thai program; access to all of the camp's classes costs 5,500 THB a week and 16,800 THB a month, and ten private sessions cost 7,500 THB. All Muay Thai gyms on the island are in the Muay Thai section of the catalog.

Training holidays with accommodation

A camp or a retreat with a room is the usual format for a trip "just to train". Lowest prices for about a week with accommodation, by type, from the Camps & retreats section (data as of 11 October 2026):

  • Muay Thai camp: from 6,300 THB (Sinbi Muay Thai); about a month with accommodation from 22,000 THB; a month of training without a room from 7,000 THB (Apollo Camp Thailand);
  • all-inclusive Muay Thai with training, a room and meals: from 14,500 THB a week plus 7% VAT (Tiger Muay Thai);
  • surf camp: from $369 (Talay Surf);
  • yoga retreat: from $679 (The Yoga Lodge);
  • fitness and body transformation camp: from £700 (Prime Revive Body Transformation Retreat);
  • wellness and detox retreat: from $1,259 (Santosa).

The spread inside each type is wide: what a program includes (meals, transfers, massages, private sessions) moves the price more than the location does. How to compare camps is explained in our guide to Muay Thai camps.

Group classes: what is on the schedule

The FitPhuket class board collects the timetables of Phuket gyms and studios. For the week of 28 October – 3 November 2026 it lists 1,729 group classes at 70 venues: about 300 on each weekday, 170 on Saturday and 45 on Sunday. By main category:

Category Classes a week
Muay Thai and MMA 769
Fitness 365
Yoga 189
CrossFit 98
Pilates 97
Tennis 88
Kids' classes 53

Pilates, yoga and diving

Reformer Pilates costs 550–1,080 THB for a group class, 4,600–8,500 THB for ten and 1,500–2,900 THB for a private session. Prices by studio are in the Pilates guide. Yoga is cheaper: a drop-in class costs 300–500 THB (our price cheat-sheet, July 2026).

Diving: a try dive with two dives costs 4,500–6,000 THB, a day trip for certified divers 3,000–4,700 THB, the Open Water course 14,000–17,500 THB, and a 3–4-day Similan liveaboard 19,000–46,000 THB. Season, dive sites and dive centers are covered in the diving guide.

Everyday training budget

If you live on the island, the monthly budget matters more: a gym costs 1,500–4,500 THB a month and a personal training session 800–1,500 THB (July 2026). The full breakdown by discipline is in the price cheat-sheet, and gyms by area are in the gym guide.
